Nexus Group

Flexible time and location

Nexus group looks into data-driven innovative solutions that supports service, outdoor activities, and academic development inside and beyond the UWCSEA community through collaborative research and exploration. Working with us you can expect to get guideline and supports from our team.

We have supported five innovative projects in 2021/2022 for the 50th Anniversary Grant, and we are looking forward to celebrate more diversity projects and researches in the coming future.

Ongoing Project profiles 

EEG Brain Wave Recognition

Analysing the EEG waves of dementia patients to find any correlation between Music and Dementia.


Reflecting Service

Collaborating with the service department to measure and analyze student participation in service groups. After patterns and trends are found, a visual presentation is made to convey findings to a wider audience. 

Wellness Insights

Find patterns and correlations within responses from HS wellbeing surveys in order to provide quantitative evidence around the collective mental health of our community and suggestions for how we can improve this.


​Project Moneyball

The aim of this project is to make an inexpensive device system that can be used by schools/institutions around the world to introduce science into sports. This would be a very multidisciplinary project, requiring expertise from Mathematics, DT, Sports Science, CompSci, and possibly even Art.
